The rockpools

I look down and see glimmers of rainbow sunlight dancing on the surface of the water . I relish the absolute stillness and the silence. It’s as the whole world has been paused except for the tiny fishes darting around my feet causing barely a subtle ripple. I feel an inward delight as I wade slowly through the clear water f feeling it swirl under the glittering surface even though I cannot see any break in the perfect stillness
